 Painting Tools and Equipment-Airless Sprayers

House Painting includes working on many different surfaces and different areas of the home. You might start out specializing in just interior work and in time realize the financial benefits of expanding to exterior work. You will learn quickly that the small hand tools that you use inside will have to be supplemented with good commercial grade power tools if you want to do professional quality exterior work. Most of my Painting Guide users set up their business to include exterior siding painting, gutters and deck refinishing right from the beginning.

I've been painting houses for over 30 years and I have to admit I was reluctant to add my first airless sprayer to my "tool box."  In my opinion I would not be able to maintain my level of quality if I was to adapt the new technology. Boy was I wrong!

Brushes and rollers served me fine, but once I hooked up my first airless sprayer, I knew there was no going back. In my opinion, the new airless sprayers are much like a "two-edged sword". They can allow you to do high quality professional level work with greater ease and speed or they can allow someone to ruin their reputation in no time. I discuss this and more in my business guide.

A professional or commercial grade airless sprayer allows the single painter to accomplish what would take 3 or 4 men to do by hand. Needless to say, with a bit of imagination this opens an entire new level of profitability to the small business owner.

Regardless of what type or size of airless sprayer you might select, you will still need a good supply of brushes and rollers and the regular assortment of hand tools for prep work. Always buy professional grade brushes. Although you might be tempted to buy the cheap series, you'll always get better service from the better professional ones.

In the old days a painter had to go to a manufacturer's store front for professional tools. That is no longer the case. You can easily find every imaginable tool at your local Lowes or Home Depot.

In fact, with the explosion of Home Improvement Stores, one might think that attempting to make a living house painting is a waste of time and money. No so at all. My business guide shares some neat insider's secrets that show you how to "Use" these stores to your benefit.
